It was more of an order than a request that I told my friends when we saw the Disney's Alice in Wonderland's trailer. It would be out on 2010 said the trailer. Next thing we knew, the posters were up in malls. Due to a lot of excitement, we failed to check the release date and planned to watch it on "February 19" only to realize that it'd be showing on March 4, 2010. Yay, us! But that's only a few days from now and I can't wait.
What's nice about Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland is that it's not just another old remake. Alice, now of 19 years of age, comes back to Wonderland where she reunites with her old friends and realizes her destiny — reigning the terrible reign of the Red Queen. Alice In Wonderland has a myriad of very colorful characters and a storyline equally as colorful.
The story of Alice in Wonderland has quite a certain "attachment" to me because we did a comical remake of it as a play. It was in Tagalog entitled "Malice in Bwangderland" and our lead character was my best friend — who happens to be male. We drew lots to decide who plays what part. It's a democratic way of deciding, you know. *grins* That's why we're planning to watch Alice in Wonderland in cosplay — me as Alice and him as the Mad Hatter. We still have to plan it out a bit more though.
